Not Bold Enough

Because I have been so MIA for this blog, my friend gave me a theme: Diamonds and Denim. (or rather, I forced it out of him)

I do feel bad but I have been taking photobooth pictures of my face from time to time so I do have materials...I just didn't do a blog about them due to laziness. (and admittedly, more than half aren't blogworthy)

Anyways, going back to the makeup...

I used UD's 24/7 glide pencil in Deviant to outline and fill in my shape on my lids and lower lashline. On top of that, I carefully patted on R&R's Denim to mattify and intensify the color.

Afterwards, with MAC's FIX+, I used MUF's glitter all over the lids and inner corners to represent the "diamond" of the theme. You can't really see it b/c it's "photobooth-quality" but its there ;)

I wanted to use rhinestones for more bling, but due to latex allergies, there weren't any way to stick those buggers on...
If I could though, I probably would have used it all over my face >:D

I do want to come back to this theme and expand it as a full on face project!
But for now, this will do =P

LOTD: Subtle Gold Smokey

Day #3!

Sorry I couldn't upload any posts for the past week! I've just been so busy with work!
But putting everything aside, today was actually my weekend-like day so I actually took some time to properly do makeup.

Today was a nice day with a slight kick of chilly air, which was a great day to wear neutrals.
Yes, si, hai, neh, oui - neons are in, and probably much more suitable for this kind of weather, but it was chilly and I wanted to wear something subtle. But rest assured neon look is coming soon...

I took out my Dior's eyeshadow quint 554 Couture Golds and without much plan or vision, I just started to slab the colors on my eyes. I just wanted to see how I would like the colors and see how it reflects off my skin, but sooner or later, I started to fall in love <3

The colors were roughly, white gold, white shimmer, taupe grey, rose gold, & dark cocoa. (not the actual names, I'm sure)

The pigmentations weren't all that great, but it had a lovely creamy satin finish and extremely easy blend, which made it overall  a very easy to use and very hard to fail with palette.
I'm sad that this palette is a limited edition... =(

I'll try to squeeze in any past looks I did when I'm too lazy busy to do anything new. =D
Until then!

LOTD: Outlines

Day #2!

Today out of whim, I wanted to do something bold and simple yet somewhat exotic. So I outlined outside my usual eye-line to create this somewhat bold and edgy reverse-cat eye. (I'm sure there is a proper name for it =_+''')

I could have lined it with matte pitch black liner but due to the very lightening-y weather, I decided to use something with a bit more "sparkle" and smudge it slightly at the inner edges for a slightly softer finish.

The Chanel gel eyeshadow I used for this was phenomenal. It was creamy and easy to use with SUPER PIGMENTATION!!! The overall quality of this eyeshadow is worth every penny and I love the color it shows on the skin. I love this product so much that I am very relieved that this is a permanent collection and probably will buy more in the future. =)

For the complete "sparkle" effect, I added MUF's stardust glitter on the inner corners, which was completely blurred out =( . My empty words can only promise you that they looked great in person. =/

Oh well...

Sorry about the quality, old old computer and bad lighting forces me to use photoshop in a bad 90s way...

Until then!

LOTD: UD madness

Day 1!

Sorry this might be just the typical "play w/ colors look" but I just HAD to test out the new Urban Decay Make-Your-Own palette! Overall the look is cliche but for me it was a fun process!

The shadows were pigmented and had a velvet finish, which was great for smooth blending.

Of course I had the usual white-canvas-phobia but then just decided to start off w/ some color splashes w/ usual smoky eye look.

Not too exciting, but I plan to take creative measures at least once every 2 weeks!

Products Used:

- Eyes -
Urban Decay - Naked 2 palette: Tease, Half-Baked, Bootycall / UD Pencil Shadow: Delinquent / UD custom palette: Psychedelic sister / UD pencil eyeliner: Woodstock, Electric, Perversion

- Lips -
UD lipgloss: Naked

You can't really see the under eyeliners b/c this was taken w/ Apple Mac photobooth, but it's there =_+''
Will try to upload every 3 days or so!
